Loughborough – Charnwood Borough Council (CBC) introduced and HMO Additional Licensing scheme into two wards of Loughborough on the 1st of April 2023.
The wards are Hastings and Lymington. Additionally, all Section 257 HMOs will be covered by this scheme, (buildings converted into self-contained flats where the building is wholly occupied by tenants) anywhere in the Borough of Charnwood.
The cost to license a property for up to 5 years is £700 and will impact 1800 HMOs.
