Phase 2

Phase 2

Selective Licensing phase 2 is now in force and covers prescribed areas of Carlton Hill, Colwick, Daybrook and Newstead Village. The designation requires that all privately rented dwellings within the four prescribed areas are licensed, subject to certain specified exemptions and requirements. The Designation came into force on 1 November 2022 and runs until 31 October 2027.

The above mentioned four areas are in addition to the existing scheme which continues to cover the Netherfield ward. Landlords and agents operating privately rented properties within the Netherfield ward or any of the four areas designated within Carlton Hill, Colwick, Daybrook and Newstead Village should apply for a licence to avoid enforcement action for failure to licence a property.
