NatWest and Landbay Launch Buy-to-Let Mortgage Partnership for Professional Landlords

NatWest Group has entered the professional buy-to-let market through a new partnership with specialist lender Landbay. This collaboration marks NatWest’s first move into offering BTL products specifically tailored to professional landlords.

Through the arrangement, NatWest will fund a range of buy-to-let mortgages under the Landbay brand, utilising Landbay’s established digital platform and broker network. The move is designed to give landlords greater access to competitive mortgage products with streamlined processing.

More Choice for Professional Landlords

The partnership aims to expand the availability of mortgage solutions for experienced landlords, particularly those operating through limited companies or with larger portfolios. The range of products will be made available exclusively via intermediaries, continuing the trend of lenders targeting the growing professional landlord segment with bespoke solutions.

Industry feedback suggests this initiative will help improve choice and flexibility in the buy-to-let market, particularly as demand remains steady and lenders compete to attract high-quality landlord borrowers.

Growing Competition in BTL Market

Alongside this development, competition within the buy-to-let mortgage space continues to intensify. The Mortgage Works (TMW) recently announced rate reductions across both its standard and limited company BTL ranges.

Key highlights from TMW include:

  • A two-year fixed rate at 3.99% with a 3% fee for limited companies at 75% LTV.

  • A five-year fixed rate at 4.44% with no fee at 75% LTV for standard BTL purchases.

  • Free valuations and legal services included with selected products.

These moves reflect a wider trend of lenders adjusting pricing and incentives to appeal to both new and existing landlords in a market that remains sensitive to interest rate fluctuations and regulatory costs.

” Its always fantastic to see lenders looking at ways to better support the landlord community.  A marriage of NatWest’s capital and Landbay’s technology means that they will be able to bring something pretty special to the market.”
