The 2016 EMPO Expo will be on Thursday 5th May 2016 at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, Nottingham, NG8 6PY.

This FREE visitor event is targeted at residential landlords, letting agents and property investors. Tenants can now request energy upgrades – and landlords cannot refuse

Private tenants can now request consent from their landlords for energy efficiency improvements.

Landlords will not be able to withhold consent unreasonably and tenants will need to fund any agreed works.

The initial thinking was that they would mostly do so through the Green Deal, but this was scrapped last year and is unlikely to be replaced until next year.
